Glanbia Nutritionals Named No.1 in Greater Suzhou Best Employer Competition

We are delighted to share the news that, for the third consecutive year, Glanbia Nutritionals has achieved the designation of Greater Suzhou Best Employer!

Now in its eighth year, the Greater Suzhou Best Employer Campaign attracts hundreds of employers from the area, which has more than 500,000 companies of all sizes in many industries. Since its inception, this prestigious competition has become a visible platform for employers to gain the attention of millions of job seekers within Suzhou and the surrounding areas. Each year the top 30 companies are selected as best employers. Last year we were named No.6 and in 2019 we were No. 27, but this year we were delighted to be named No.1!

This year hundreds of domestic and international companies from a number of industries participated. Each entrant was rated on the below four dimensions:

Brand Capability

Each entrant’s brand is reviewed by a committee comprised of representatives of government, media, labor union, and HR experts. Five key elements were reviewed – Employer Development, Company Culture, Learning & Development, Employee Relations, and Compensation & Benefits.

Brand Engagement

Last year, Brand Engagement was added to the measurement dimensions. This involved asking all Glanbia Nutritionals Suzhou employees to complete an Employee Engagement survey. We are happy to share that we scored more than 90% favorable on the below key elements.

  • Corporate Social Responsibility
  • Culture and Values
  • Caring for our Employees
  • Leadership
  • Career Advancement

Brand Perceptivity

Each employer submits a brand video that is reviewed and voted upon by the public.

Brand Influence

The assessment metrics for brand influence include Brand Popularity, Recognition, Association, and Positive & Negative Asset Concept.

Based on a committee review and public voting, Glanbia Nutritionals successfully achieved this recognition, placing 1st among the top 30! (vs. 27th in 2019 and 6th in 2020). In achieving this designation, Glanbia Nutritionals joins a select group of other winners in Suzhou, including Roche, Philips, Eli Lilly, BD, Eaton, Nexteer etc. As a result, GN Suzhou received extraordinary exposure on local TV that would normally cost over $150,000 in advertising fees.

Well done to the below Glanbia Nutritionals Project Team who were involved in the preparation and submission of our application. As you can imagine it was not easy as COVID-19 made communication and team morale difficult to manage. We would also like to say a big thank you to our employees. We could not have done this without you!
