Essential Amino Acids

Essential amino naturally occur in some foods and cannot be made by the body.

Essential amino acids are found in the foods we eat and cannot be made by the body. Out of the twenty total amino acids, nine are considered essential. These include: histidine, isoleucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, and valine.
