2020 Glanbia Nutritionals Scholarship Program

The 2020 Glanbia Nutritionals Scholarship Program will award scholarships to students with a parent who works for Glanbia Nutritionals North America. The objective of this program is to recognize high achieving high school seniors and support their ongoing education expenses.

Eligibility requirements are:

Applicant must be a child of a full-time Glanbia Nutritionals employee. The employee must have a minimum of one year of employment with Glanbia Nutritionals as of the application deadline date.
Children of active part-time employees are also encouraged to apply. The part-time employee must be employed with Glanbia Nutritionals for at least two consecutive years and have worked a minimum of 1,000 hours per calendar year.
Students must be graduating high school seniors who plan to enroll in a full-time course of study at an accredited two or four year college, university, or vocational-technical school.

Successful applicants will receive funds to be used towards one year of full-time study. The scholarship money must be used in the school year following the award. Awards are for undergraduate study only. Glanbia Nutritionals reserves the right to award fewer scholarships if the Selection Committee determines applicants do not meet academic scholarship standards.

Interested students must submit a completed 2020 Glanbia Nutritionals Scholarship Program Application Form and ensure that a school official submits a completed 2020 Glanbia Nutritionals Scholarship Program Appraisal Form and current transcript of grades on their behalf to Kathy McDonnell ( ) no later than May 15th, 2020. All forms can be found at the end of this article.

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of their essays, academic record and past experience. Applicant's materials will be reviewed by Glanbia Nutritional's Selection Committee. No member of the Selection Committee can have a relative who is an applicant for that year. The Selection Committee will review applicants solely on their submitted information. The committee will not be informed of the applicant's name, picture or who their employee parent is. Applicants will be notified in June whether or not they have been awarded a scholarship. Checks will be addressed to the recipients home address and will be made payable jointly to the recipient and the school and must be endorsed by both parties.

Glanbia reserves the right to review the conditions and procedures of this scholarship program and to make changes at any time, including termination of the program. Previously approved scholarships will not be affected by subsequent changes to the program.

Recipients have no obligation to Glanbia Nutritionals unless the recipient drops out of school prior to the scholarship monies being used. In the event that the recipient discontinues school prior to the scholarship funds being used, the remaining funds should be returned to Glanbia Nutritionals.

**Please note that Scholarship winnings are considered taxable income by the IRS. As a recipient, you will be required to complete and return IRS form W-9 to us. In return, you will receive Form 1099-MISC to be filed with your annual tax return.**
