The awards won by the Twin Falls, Gooding, Southwest Cheese, and MWC plants included nine Gold, seven Silver, and ten Bronze medals. Dairy companies from across the US submitted over 2,400 dairy products in 117 classes for evaluation by seven skilled technical judges from across the industry, including Valerie Arechiga, Senior Research Manager at the Glanbia Nutritionals Cheese Innovation Center.
According to the event’s website, the contest is administered in this manner: “Starting from a maximum possible 100 points, deductions are made for various defects found by each judge. Defects are noted in the areas of flavor, body and texture, salt, color, finish, packaging, and other appropriate attributes. One Gold, Silver, and Bronze medal are awarded to the three highest-scoring entries in each class.”
The winning products include our core competencies like Cheddar, Colby, Colby Jack, Monterey Jack and Whey Protein Concentrate and Isolate as well as New Product Development products like Chipotle Color Cheese and Mediterranean Monterey Jack.
The results of the competition confirm Glanbia Nutritionals dedication to producing high quality products for its customers.
Glanbia Nutritionals has entered Cheese products and Whey ingredients in both the U.S. and World Contests for many years and continues to bring home medals, with 299 to date.
